Singapore Happenings

We have been in Singapore for exactly 22 days, and I have been seriously loving every single bit. The days seemingly fly by, and it feels to fast for me because all we are doing are spending time with family and catching up with loved ones.

Even though I dont seem it, I am really grateful for each opportunity to go for lunch with my grandparents, or meet my mum for shopping, chill with Samantha at home, or even tag along with dad in the car. Even meeting up with friends like Jamie Amanda and Rachel are fantastic. I hope I am able to show my appreciation and love for my family as we enjoy our remaining time here.

Although being here is a constant reminder that I would love to live here and spend more time with my family, one thing remains that pulls us back to Adelaide Australia.

In Singapore we celebrated Fathers Day on 19th June, so Happy Fathers Day Hun!!
You're an awesome dad, and I think Jayden misses you more than you realise.
Sorry we couldnt be there, but we will be there on the 4th September to celebrate with you. You are the one reason why we cant wait to come back to Adelaide.

It is bittersweet. I dont ever want to leave here, save for seeing you.

Swimming with Uncle Jeremy and Tiffany

Jeremy, Tiffany and I took Jayden swimming before Jeremy went back to Sydney. His first time!! He was a real trouper, though he was fully obsessed with his little fish toy.

A week later Jayden went swimming with Aunty Rachel, Uncle Gene and Callum!! He absolutely loved the water, especially feeling weightless in the pool.

We flew to Singapore this week, leaving Josh behind. We will be here for 7 weeks, and will miss him tremendously.

On the upside, it was Jayden's first flight! And, we got to catch up with his great-grandparents, and lots of other rellies and friends. Not to mention the awesome food. And its only been 3 days so far, so here are some photos.

Happy Mothers Day

A very special one, my first.
A card with caramel truffles, followed by a breakfast in bed from the wonderful father. Fathers Day is going to be hard to top.

Happy Mothers Day, love and extra cuddles to all the mothers out there.

Mothers Group

When I first joined the parenting class at Il Nido Early Learning Centre, I had no idea the benefits that it would bring. Not to mention the friendships that both Jayden and I have made. After the parenting course ended, we as a group decided to continue to meet weekly.

Mothers Group turned out to be a lifeline in some weeks.
Here, we catch up on whats been happening in our lives, and just having people that know, understand and empathise with what you are going through and changes in our kids is awesome. Extended periods of staying at home, and going without having coherent adult conversations is well, not great.

Anyway, heres to wishing all of you a Happy Easter! (Note: No posing was done)

Dear Jayden

Today marks Day 6 of your life. Its so hard to believe that you are finally out in the world, instead of inside Mummy's tummy. We've had a couple of rough nights, where you just would not settle down to sleep, but other than that you've been a dream to have.

Your Bilirubin levels were abit high, so today we had to take you in to the hospital for monitoring. You were very brave as the nurse took your blood (yet again)... such a little trouper. Anyway, we were estatic to learn that not only had your levels decreased from 279 to 244, in the space of a day, you had also gained 120grams - you now weigh about 3.33kg. This should keep Grandma and Grandpa happy too, as they were really worried about you.

Looking at you, so peacefully sleeping in my arms, we just melt (Yes, especially Daddy). A part of me really wants to keep you in this stage - waking up every 2-3 hours and feeding (YES, sore boobs and all), but we know this isn't possible.

A part of me never really wants to expose you to the big world out there. Please know that every moment is precious and is treasured. We really wish that we could document every minute of everyday of your life, but know that this isnt possible.

Everyday, you are growing, learning and exploring. We just ask that we'll be able to keep up with you.

Love,
Mum and Dad
