Baby Pak

Today we went for our first baby ultrasound scan. Here is Baby Pak / Koh for now, at officially 12 weeks and 6 days old.. measuring 7.3mm lengthwise across... with a solid heartbeat of 156 bpm..

Words cannot truly express what you feel when you first see your child, or first hear its heartbeat. Today I fell in love again, with someone other than Josh.

Josh couldn't take his eyes off the screen. I think it was love at first sight for him too.

Revelations / Things I learned whilst observing Bub on the screen..
1) Baby is alot like me - Friendly. Bub kept waving to the camera, or hi-fiving it.

2) Baby Pak doesn't like being prodded (I know - who does right?) but he would actually show it. It was as if he was saying "Hey!! Stop! I dont like that" through his actions. He would twist and turn each time he was prodded.

3) Bubby is just like his mother.

A Family Home

The ad read:
"This comfortable family home offers 3 bedrooms, with formal lounge and dining, large family room, ducted air conditioning, built-in robes, lovely under cover outdoor entertaining area.

The home also offers plenty of garden area for the kids to play.

Set in a quiet street with views of the hills, minutes from major shopping centres, schools and transport.

Very affordable with scope to add your own touch and make it your dream home."

What we read was:
A nice 3 bedroom sunny family home, all set for a young family, currently comprising of a white dog, an orange ginger cat, Mum and Dad, soon-to-be made complete with a little Bub. More importantly, a nice, CLOSE-TO-GRANDMA/GRANDPA place.

The front (no, swingset not included but its okay):

It even has a family room where many anticipated hours of play and family bonding are to take place.

All this, for us. We feel incredibly blessed. Its all because of God, and Josh's very loving and kind parents. We hope we wont let anyone down.

Touch Footy

Almost every Thursday night, for the past 2-3 years, I play touch footy with my team, the Ellas.

One of the things I absolutely hate, whilst being pregnant, besides the constant morning sickness (yes the term 'morning' is misleading, it means every hour past 10.30am for me), throwing up, nasuea, is not being able to play my beloved touch game.

Whats worse, is I know I have 7 more months of this to endure. But in the meantime, I will try to be there for each game, on the sidelines yelling obscenties (okay, niceties) out to cheer and encourage my team on. I will also try to take some team photos and post them up here so you get a feeling of what mine (and sometimes, Josh's) Thursday nights entail.

Oh by the way, we won last night!! 4 - 3!

20/03/2010.. The journey starts.

Saturday the 20th of March 2010 was probably one of the happiest days of my life. [THE happiest day was 2nd May 2009, where we actually got married). Surrounded by wonderful, fantastic family and friends, we celebrated our marriage.

I now have a larger family incorporated, which is fantastic! I love have a new mum and dad, and a new brother and sister. Not to mention cousins, aunts and more uncles! And Josh has a new set of parents, another brother, and 2 other sisters. Yay!!

Of course, this opening post could not be complete without mentioning our
babies - Milo and Charlie, our (very beloved - and yes its just another phrase for spoilt) pets..

This is our life together.
After 6.5 years of dating.
The beginning of forever.
This is where the journey starts.
